The King County Subject Lookup is the main place to search busted mugshots and jail roster info. Each record holds the booking number, full name, current custody status, facility, charges, book date, release date, and housing unit. The roster is updated through the day. You can find it at dajd-jms.powerappsportals.us. The jail roster is a public record under RCW 70.48.100, which says the name, hour, date, and cause of confinement must be open to the public.

To search the King County jail roster, enter a last name first. You can add a first name, date of birth, race, gender, or facility to narrow it down. The system also lets you search by booking number (BA#) or Universal Control Number. King County booking photos may be limited under state law, but jail roster data and arrest records stay open. Most searches take less than a minute.

King County Superior Court keeps the case files tied to most arrests. The clerk's office stores criminal cases, civil cases, family law cases, probate cases, and more. To find court records linked to a King County mugshot or booking, you can use the KC Script Portal. Cases filed November 1, 2004 or later are open through the portal. You will need to make an account first. Non-certified copies cost $0.25 per page online. Certified copies start at $5 for the first page.

The portal sits at dja-prd-ecexap1.kingcounty.gov. The clerk's office fills most requests within 5 business days. Expedited orders cost $30 and ship in one business day. King County also lets you view records in person at 516 3rd Avenue in Seattle or at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.

King County Sheriff Records Requests

The King County Sheriff's Office runs a Public Disclosure Unit that fills records requests under RCW 42.56, the state public records act. You can ask for police reports, body-worn camera files, dispatch logs, and other arrest records. To file a request, send Form E-130 with a clear description of what you need. Fees follow a simple chart. Paper copies cost $0.15 per page. Scans cost $0.10 per page. Body-worn camera redactions run $55 per hour. Large requests need a 10% deposit up front. The sheriff's records page is at kingcounty.gov sheriff records. Under RCW 10.97 and RCW 10.97.130, some criminal history is shielded, so not all arrest records are open.
